Hello everyone. Thought I'd peek my head in and let those of you interested know that I updated my profile and brought all my entries back here after trying the blog thing for awhile. It was kind of a mess after I tried to "fix" it so I thought this was better anyway. I don't journal as much anyway, so it won't get a whole lot longer! There is a new picture there - although it's a joke picture, it's at least a full length that shows my latest look. Ignore the hair....and the tired eyes! I do have a new blog on my website (linked below) under the jabber link, but it's not just solely related to wls. Dina

Thanks for stopping in Dina! I know you are still around when we really need ya, but I do miss you. The word for your new picture is CUTE!!! The body language can say it all - the way you must feel (being down to 203) is what shows the most. Like that song goes "I'm walkin on sunshine and doesn't it FEEL GOOD!". It is so wonderful that you are doing so well, especially standing next to that cute kid! I wish I could have done this while my kids were younger. Even older they are loving that I hop on the bike or go down the slide at the water park. You are doing great! Going forward with WLS so far away from home took real courage. I am really proud of you for all of your hard work! Patty

Patty - Thanks so much! I do feel much better than I did a year ago and it is a big difference. Just wish the last 50 wasn't such a pain to try to get off. It's going to take an awful lot of grit and gumption. ::sigh:: As for the picture, I had to set it up on a tripod myself because DH was sleeping. In fact, I have him so well trained from years of avoiding the camera, I can't get him to pick it up unless I instruct him to do so. So I still don't have any pictures of me during family occasions. None. Dina

You look terrific.....cute pic and cute kid! Glad to hear you're doing so well. I haven't been on here for such a long time myself. Been very busy with end of school year stuff and business is picking up, which is good....finally making some money! I'm currently at 194 lbs, my anniversary date is 7/23....yikes! I can so relate to what you're going through. I'm currently in a size 14 bottom and medium top (but I tried on a size 12 dress last week and it fit...snugly but it fit! Of course, the skirt was pretty full!). Pursuing LBL. arm lift, and breast lift w/implants. My girls are uneven and have severe ptosis as well..ugh! I never considered they might approve because they're so uneven..but that's an angle I'm willing to follow up on! I have a waddle under my chin too and it really ages me, I hate it! When I sit or lie down I "puddle" out at the sides with the excess skin. It's really very weird. And I've had some periodic rashing. My biggest problem is extreme lower back pain. I've been going to therapy but it has not helped. I get very sore if I walk or stand for any length of time. I'll try to get a new pic up tonight.....I think it's going to be a quiet evening, so maybe I can get some time on the 'puter. Take care!

Hey!!! Look at you - I want to see your new picture! I wanna see it now! Wahhhh! You and I have SO many things in common. Uneveness with the girls, back pain, puddling out, rashes (can't get rid of them myself...even with Diflucan and creams). Let me know if they take care of your girls due to the size problem. My physical therapist says she can put in for a reduction for me which would help my back, but I asked her if it would be logical that just evening them out and hoisting them back up would help. She said she wasn't sure they would go for that. She said she thinks she can document enough for the panni though. I would love the lbl but not sure I'll get it. We'll have to see. I need to get on the stick though and get the wheels moving on this. I think I've been dragging my feet trying to see if I'd lose more weight. Now that I have the motivation on top of it, I think I will try to lose AT LEAST another 25 lbs first. If you can't get the pic up on your profile soon, can you email me one? I am dying to see the new you! You haven't updated your photos in a long time (except to show the one of you at your highest). My email is javajunqee at aol dot com. Dina

I've emailed my pic to you, and I'm getting it uploaded here....hopefully it won't take too long! Yes, it does seem like we have alot of common "issues", lol. Reduction? That's probably the main difference between us....there's nothing left of me to reduce! I was only a C before, now a very sloppy B and that's mainly just skin, not much tissue at all. The pic I'm posting shows the skin I have on my upper arms. If I hold them away from my body...they actually are pretty small aside from what hangs down. But when they are at my side, they still look pretty huge. I also have what my SO calls "the tire". I've been told there's no problem getting an abdominoplasty approved and my surgeon said I'd need an extended one because mine goes back to my hips. I'm hoping I can find a surgeon who'll absorb the add'l cost of a LBL. I have heard of that. As of today, I have 23lbs left to lose for PS surgery as that will put me at 170, 20lbs from my goal weight. I will try hard to get a better body shot taken, maybe with shorts on....that's a pretty sight....not! My legs are still heavy looking, but it's alot of skin. They are definitely smaller, but really jiggly on the top. Anyhoo.....you are doing great girl! I am so thankful every single day for this! Talk to you soon, Michele
