Race for the Cure walk

Hi. Anyone going to walk in the Race for the Cure? It is going to be held in Portland on September 18th, and I am doing the 5K walk, which is only 3 miles. I couldn't have done it before my surgery. I am thrilled and a little emotional about it too. I am walking in honor of my mom who was a breast cancer survivor, and I am also walking it as a stomach cancer survivor. I had surgery for it a little over a year ago, and I had the added benefit of it being a modified RNY surgery. So far, I have lost about 55 lbs, but I hope to lose another 40. I know that walking and other kinds of exercising have helped me regain my health and energy more quickly. Enjoy the good summer weather, and happy trails! Peg

I am planning on walking it as well. I will walk for my mom who is a five year breast cancer survivor. I did the race the first year she was diagnosed and I would like to do it again!
