Whew, I had a lap DS on May 25th! I'm pretty groggy and tired, but everything went well and they were able to do it laparscopically. The surgery was 4 hours long. I got to come home this morning, I sure missed my boys!! It's good to be on the other side, the first couple days are rough but I can already tell it's getting better PS- updated my profile too

Hi Brianna, So glad to hear you are home and doing well! I know when the kids are so little and attached to the mother ship it is hard to pull back and let others do it, but please be good to yourself and let everyone help you while you are healing. With this heat we have had the SF popsicles would be nice for you. Keep sipping the water and let us know how you are progressing. Great to know your surgery went so well! Patty

Hi Brianna. Congrats! You are on your way! Keep posting and keep reading others' posts in your surgery month group and in other message boards. You will find that you will have a lot in common with them, and you will see many of your questions and concerns mirrored in the questions and concerns of this group. You are on quite a journey. Remember that this is NOT a competition. You will find some who drop weight with little or no bumps in the road. Others will struggle with all kinds of setbacks. No surgery or outcome is ever identical. The key is to realize that this is a life-time commitment, and if you choose to stay connected here, you will never feel alone and misunderstood, because in one way or another, most of us have walked the path you are now walking. I wish you every success as you lose weight toward your goal. Peg
