Three days Post Surgery
I'm three days Post Surgery for the Lap Band and I have to say I feel wonderful. My hospital stay at Legacy Good Samaritian was excellant. The nurses were so excited for me and so sweet and attentive. I ended up staying two nights but only due to a transportation issue. I really didn't mind since everything was so nice. Dr Hong is so sweet and truly has a nice bed side manner. While I was there another one of Dr Hong's patients was moved into my room and it was nice to be able to exchange e-mail address so that we can keep each other updated on our progress. Where else can you have a surgery and have such a wonderful support system with so many people like this one! I have become obsessed with this website as it is so inspiring and I love hearing from everyone. Once again I want to say thanks to all of you who sent me well wishes before and right after surgery. Hopefully some day I will get to meet some of you. I'm sure that I will in the Support Groups, get to know some of you. I'll check back later....Keep smiling
whoohoo! You made it! Thats awesome! You didn't mention any problems, so thats the best you could hope for, right? I can't wait to be where you are now. What I want to know are details from the time you checked in until you left.... I am reading all sorts of hospital stories to get a general feel for what I may go through!
I am obsessed with this website too, I wouldn't be where I am now without it!

Welcome to the other side! Congratulations on a smooth surgery. These early days are such baby steps in progress, but months from now you will be so amazed at how fast it seems in memory.
Be easy on yourself. Drinking your water is so important - it will end up being your best friend. I can always connect it to my progress and how I feel. Don't forget the sugar free popsicles.
