You Know You Want To Talk About It....
Come on you guys......it's a simple questionaire- I won't use your names unless you say it is ok
I will just be tabulating and doing percentages.
I am an Oregonian down in O'Brien- which is about as far south as you can go without crossing the border into no mans land.
I am a certified psychiatric nurse (RN)
I had my RNY proximal in 2000-when there was little info- I am trying to acertain a couple of things:
1. How much of an impact does our mental health play in the success or failure of the surgery
2. Are there enough resources out there to support post bariatric surgery patients
3. Do the support groups the doctors have REALLY help or are forums like this better, more honest, and more helpful
4. Are patients today really being told what to expect post surgery, and are our expectations post surgery realistic...
Its just questions like this- I e-mail them to you you email them back
I would surely appreciate your help in this. It is a subject that is near and dear to all of our hearts.
I know I haven't been HERE long, simply because I didn't know you existed. I wish I had. A Gastric Band friend told me about this web site.
For those who are willing many thanks....for those who aren't, it's ok...I understand, it is a subject mear and dear, but it is also a personal subject, which is why there isn't much info out there....
Anyway. thanks for reading/listening
