Yeah! I have a date!
Well it finally happened, last Friday my insurance company approved my surgery. Not only did they approve it but the gal Robyn at my insurance company who I have been working with to get this done actually came to my office in person to tell me that I was approved. I was really excited. Now the nerves set in. I actully think that I'm more nervous about the three day fasting than the surgery. Monday I got a call from Dr Hong's office and I'm scheduled on April 28th for surgery. Glad that I do not have much time to really start thinking about it. I have already been buying all the items that I need to have ahead of time. It is hard to imagine that it is difficult to get the protein drink down but I've heard so many people say that after surgery it is difficult. I guess I'll find out soon!
Congratulations for you!
You'll be amazed how quickly time flies now that you've got a date!
Yes, the protein drink can be a struggle at times but it's "doable". For some reason...it varies. Some days I can easily drink the whole thing and other days (or times of the day) I have to meter it out over a period of time.
Dinner is usually hard for me to eat, but I do fairly well at lunch. Bfast varies...sometimes it's all I can do to eat just one scrambled egg and other times I can eat that plus yogurt. Weird!
Take care,
Michele
SWEET! Thats awesome. I have my consult with Dr. Patterson tomorrow, so I hope to have a date within the next month, but we shall see. I wish you the best of luck, you will do awesome. One week away?? WOW! I kinda hope they do that to me too. It's nice not to have a month or more to dwell on it. Keep us informed, k?
