Hi Judy....I had my surgery at OHSU with Dr. Deveny. My experience was great....the staff is awesome, very caring, the rooms are large and comfortable...I had a hotel suite view of the city...I didn't feel like I was in a hospital when I looked out the window. ANYWAY....it was a very nice experience. Good luck Lauryn

What she said. Also Dr. Deveney was a transplant surgeon. You couldn't get a more skilled doctor. Dr. O'Rourke is also terrific (he covered for Deveney sometimes) You have to remind him to smile, though. OHSU is a teaching hospital. You may have to deal with students (and they change around) The bunch who cared for me were FABULOUS. Floor 14 ("guts and butts".... lol) has a really great team of nurses, too. tee

I had mine in November with Dr. Deveny at OHSU. Although it required a second, open surgery to fix a leak five days after, I would say the care and skill of OHSU personnel, and Dr. Deveny is great. Best of luck! Glenn

Best care anywhere! I have nothing but praise for "Pill Hill". My procedure was done by Dr. McConnel who I believe works w/ Dr D. Kudos to the 14th floor crew. I too had the incredible view to recoop with. Hope the new constuction doesn't steal the vista.

I haad a great view.. but more importantly I loved the staff there.. and I really like having Dr Deveney as my surgeon.. and though it is along way to go back and forth it is well worth the travel time
