surgury denied

My up and coming surgury is not going to happen. My insurance denied this morning the reason is not to clear yet as i have not recieved the denial letter yet.. but when i do recieve it i plan on appealing it of course. My insurance covers wls if medically necessary, i did everything they wanted but something did not work out this is my second job that i have been denied my first jobs insurance would not touch wls, because of a back injury i found this job and it happen to cover it.wls. soo ill just appeal it..... im so disapointed and sad today i really thought this was a go. This is 2 yrs now trying to get this new tool very disapointing. marlac.

Marla, I'm so sorry your going through this.. have you looked up any of the attorneys on this sight? they might be able to help you through the appeals process. good luck Theresa

Marla - I am so sorry to hear this! It sounds like the typical crap they pull with everyone though, so don't give up hope. I understand most people end up with at least one denial before approval.... Dina

I'm feeling your pain. I have CIGN and was deinied twice but I finally got a date. My boss (who had surgery in Dec) was denied three times before she got approval. It can be discouraging but I urge you to push and push hard. Did you check your insurance web site to see what qualifies as "medically necessary" for the surgery. It could be something very small like not having specific documents or something. Best of luck! Andrea
