New Year Resolutions
Taking my cues from Ginger, I'm going to go public with my New Year Resolutions:
1. to NOT drink with my meals (I know, I know....it's really bad that I do that...this is why I'm going public...for the accountability)
2. to work out an hour a day, 5 days a week (I've only been going 3 days a week)
3. to stop cussing (I'm married to a sailor)
4. to stop grazing
5. and like Ginger...I too have a boat load of photos that need scrapbooking.
6. to be kind, bring joy, and ease suffering (this is on my list every year....along with the "stop cussing" one)
I'd be interested to see what all your resolutions will be!
I wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! May we all NEVER see the word "diet" on our resolution lists again!

Well, I could copy and paste most of what you wrote!
Typically I shun New Year's resolutions. I have always hated that they set many of us up for failure. It didn't take me long to learn to hate resolutions after a few years of not losing the weight I vowed to lose!
Still, I will play along. I don't think of them as resolutions though - more like guidelines I will strive to follow.
*Ditto on the drinking with meals. I don't do it that much, but I will find myself feeling parched after dinner sometimes and I will break down and drink something. When I do that I will make a point to not let myself eat afterward if my pouch empties.
*Ditto on the workout thing. I have been lax in the last couple of weeks with the holidays. I need to get back to it. But I'll likely just do 4 days a week since I work 4 days a week and do my walking when I get off work.
*Organize my life better. I have ADHD and have lost my grip on several things lately. This is my ADHD subsection:
-*-I want to get all addresses & phone numbers added to my PDA so I can rely on finding them when needed.
-*-I want to get my checkbook balanced and have a schedule to keep it up.
-*-I want to organize my support group supplies and consequently the support group so I know better what direction I want to take this.
-*-I want to update all my websites!!!
-*-I want to catch up on my scrapbook as well. I was only up to my son at 6 months old and that was when he was 2. He's 3 1/2 now and I haven't done anything in over a year and a half.
-*-I want to start roasting my coffee beans again. I keep forgetting they are in the cupboard!
That's all for now!

Hey girl! Glad to see you're still around!
After a bit of reflection, my New Year's Resolutions are:
1. 1 hour of exercise, 5 days a week. Like everyone else, I've been hit and miss lately.
2. Stop grazing. I've been getting myself into that habit during the last month with the "busy-ness" of the holidays. It's time to stop!
3. Drink more water!
4. Take the opportunities given to me...to be less judgemental, be kinder and helpful whenever I can.
5. Make to most of every day....and be thankful for it!
Michele
Mary P!!!! How in the heck are you girl? I know, it's been forever since I have posted or even viewed this site. I hope everything is going well for you. I am loving the fact that this is my 2nd Christmas to actually lose weight. I am down 113 lbs....still losing, but oh my is it slow. I'm working in Hillsboro now...lets get together at lunch or after work.
Happy New Year everyone!
Love,
Shelley
