Finally.........I'm on the other side!
Hi Friends! I'm now officially 2.5 days post op. Glad it's over! I have met some wonderful people including two other patients who had surgery both the day before and after me. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the communication. I had my surgery in Mexico, but my semester of Spanish just didn't get my points across!
Yippee! Now I'm a looser, too!

Hi Dina!
Yes, I am still in Mexico. And I am staying in Dr. Aguirre's apartments. Today (Sunday) it is clear blue skies with a slight breeze. I'm wearing shorts in anticipation of my walk. Now that's something I wouldn't do back in Oregon in November! Dr. Aguirre and his staff are very sweet people, very caring. I wasn't nervous at all the day of surgery. As a matter of fact, after Dr. Gomez gave me my "tequila" I thought I was bilingual! I was even chatting with people in the elevator on my way to surgery! (PS--I am in NO way bilingual! But, that "tequila" is powerful stuff!) We have been downtown a few times on our walks and today we are going to the Blow Hole, which I hear is a big tourist attraction. I am anxious to get home to my own bed though. I can't seem to get comfortable here. Oh, my husband comented on the title of my message. He said people might think I went toward the white light and that is the "other side" I'm talking about!
