BUSH OR KERRY????

AHH!!!! Got Ya. POLITICALLY INCORRECT!!!!!! I just wanted to see how many hits it actually got and to see if people are still on the board... I can't believe how dead it is. I know people have to work, I myself am a SAHM with 3 children 4,8,and 11. My best freinds our Dell, Maytag, GE and Hoover. So, I have lots of time to check the boards out. I was just really getting into reading our boards and then they fell of the face of the earth. ( Well in not so many words ). I went to another meeting last night. I really enjoy them, I bet there were 40 people at the meeting lastnight and we live in such a small town, people were even missing from it. If you go to meetings what are your meetings like, what do you do? Maybe we can get some ideas from eachother. We have a steno book that goes around and we all sign in, then we have a drawing basket that goes around and we all put our names in and when the meeting is over they pull a few names out and they get vitamins, candy bars, soups, dressings, etc that our Doc has giving the leader to give out. Then I accustom our meetings to like a N/A or AA meeting. It is neat, we tell about our surgery date how much we have lost, our stuggles, and our triumphs. It is good therapy. So if you are in the area and need support. Come see us. 2nd an 3rd tuesdays 3rd floor of the North Bend Medical Center. I hope no one had a heartattack when they read my title. Hi Tracy, you are so funny of course it's going to be KERRY! Im at home now to but my children are all grown and I have 2 grandchildren. I know your probably thinking Oh lucky me I get a reply from some old fat lady. Well in some of that its true but I do believe your only as old as you feel. Im 54 but most of my friends are in there 30's and 40's. I am a nurse, and am off work awaiting surgery. Im also attempting to get a meeting or support group going on out in the boondock area of Boring, but it will probably have to wait until after sx. There is a gal in Boring *****sponded and goes swimming 3x's wk. and has invited me to go with, and I am going to take her up on her offer. Im also trying to get a pic on my site so you can see my beautiful mug..lol God Bless Mary

Hi Mary.. Of course I am not thinking "OH Great"!!! I love anyone of any size and age. You are absolutly right, you are only as young as you drag your butt around to be. I feel older than 34, since I have be heavy for a few years too many. I am getting younger by the day though. I put a post on the Boring meeting. It is about when I was a youngster. My Dad yous'd to tease me about taking me to Boring to visit his sister and b-i-law. I would laugh and say no way there is no place named Boring, that is just what it is like there. But, he proved me wrong. They have lived there for over 30 years. Well, I am keeping my Presidential vote a secret, because it does evoke a lot of anamosity. Hi Tracy, You are right...I got kind of excited thinking someone was really asking me that. I really want it over just to know the outcome. I guess I will keep my strong opinion to myself. I have learned over the years that I really can be friends with people from very different backgrounds, and have learned to not rule people out based on their political/religious beliefs. I do love to talk politics - but I will keep it out of here. I admit I have been a bit A.W.O.L. as of late. My main excuse is computer trouble, and being at the mercy of my 15 year old son for tech support. I am pretty computer illiterate, and he is a true computer wonk. He has me all set up so that everything is automatic. I just click on little stars and horsie pictures and it takes me to all my stuff. Some virus invaded, and until he does his work, I've got to navigate menus and security blocks and log on my info, etc. I know, I should get with the times and learn this stuff....but I don't wanna! I am so spoiled. He gets pulled out of class to get teachers out of computer jams, and really knows his stuff. Between trying to keep up with the 10th grade, and his very HUGE social priorities, I am not getting as much help anymore! You are a real beauty Tracy! I am sure you are not able to see that in the picture that pops up with your posts, but I think it every time. It will be fun to watch your progress. You are getting some real time and weight loss behind you. It may not seem like it now, but those first couple of months will seem like a flash six months down the road. I will try to get my act together and post more. I am going to work on my kid to get me an updated picture soon. Patty

BUSH!!! and I to can relate to the children ( I have 5, plus and extra that lives with us, 21-17-17-15-10-7 ) so life can get so crazy!! But I so enjoy being about to get on here and talk with someone who can relate. I am waiting on insurance approval. Hope and pray that it will come soon....surgary would be in Portland and Im not to excited about the gorge in the winter....but waiting till spring would be worse!! ~Dawnita~
