Not possible!
That is my reaction when I went shopping for pants yesterday. I've shrunk out of even my "skinny" pants (that's a laugh!) so I had to get a few new pair to wear. Well, here is what I found:
20 women fit me pretty good but is just a tad too comfortable.
18 misses does not fit
18 women FITS. Holy cow - whodathunk?
First, I find it incredible that a size 18, same brand, same style and same store could fit so differently. The same exact pair of 18's I tried from the Misses dept were smaller than the 18's from the womens. Go figure!
Second - whodathunk *I* would be into a size 18? I haven't seen that size in pants since I was about 18-20 years old! Yikes! I know the sizes nowdays are larger than they were 10+ years ago, but still...the thought of being out of the 20's is thrilling!
So I came home with about 4 pairs of 18's and can wear them all. There were plenty of 18's I couldn't wear too, but this was great!
Oh - and I determined that size 20 is like the size 9 of shoes. My theory is that there are more women who are size 20 than any other size out there and that is why you cannot find that size on the racks. Same with the size 9 shoes - they go first.

Dina, I think the womens cut is a little fuller. But, am hoping you didn't over do buying 4 pair. You will be out of those in no time. woohoo
It is so exciting sizing down. I have stopped now at a size 10 > medium tops.
I agree that the sizes have changed since I was young. I know I weighed 20 lbs. less and wore 2 sizes larger back then. Go figure!
Best wishes. Tonya
Well, either fortunately or unfortunately I am a slow loser (depending on which way you look at it!). But I did buy them snug...although one pair is already sort of loose...might have to take them back. I just can't handle not having enough clothing to wear. I hate going between 2 pairs of pants!
