Just wanted to let people who have sent me messages that I had the surgery, nothing bad happened, had 28 gallstones and my gallbladder was removed. I guess they have to retract your ribs to get at everything and I think they pulled mine over my head as that is sorest spot on me is my ribs!!! Getting able to move around a bit more and plan to be getting better by the day. Maryanne

Maryanne, Glad to hear everything went well for you. You wonder that you didn't hear a noise when you walked, with all those stones knocking around in there! You will be amazed how fast you will feel the benefits! Patty

Maryanne, Congratulations on completing your surgery! You're just a week and a half out from me! 28 stones?????? Whew! My sorest spot is my left side incision...still pretty tender at 2+ weeks out, and last night was the first night I actually was able to sorta sleep on my side....I'm tired of sleeping on my back! How are you doing with the protein? I'm struggling, but getting better every day. Take care, Michele

I just was able to sleep almost the whole night in my bed, had to move to the couch early this morning and still cannot sleep 8 hours in a stretch, but heck couldn't do that before :-0 I got myself sick, not to the point of throwing up Sunday, but I sure felt miserable, I was eating too fast and that was because I hate milk and the protein shakes that are available here locally are all milk based and then adding more protein until it was like clay pudding was something I knew I was going to have just bear and get it over with. But I could not make my self slow down it was very frustrating who wants linger over something they don't like. However my husband had the surgery 7/12/2004 and I got this website from this list http://store.bariatriceating.com/bariatriceating/ and had ordered some canned protein drinks and powdered fruit flavored protein for him to supplement his diet as he needs to add more protein. The fruit drinks - Nectar are powdered have 23 grams whey protein per scoop and the powder desolves instantly and stay liquid not clay like no lumps no milk so I have used that as my protein drink base and I love the stuff and I can linger with little bites cause I am not just gagging it down. They are spendy but the containers are huge and something I will use now and later down the road. I also add Keto shakes which are milky to change the flavor a bit.
