Hi, Im just curious; How many folks are approved for surgury, but have no way of paying for it? Just curious, and wanted to hear your story on exclusions loan denials n stuff,( im journaling )

Marla - I'm a state employee and have BCBS Regence which has an iron-clad exclusion for anything weight related. Of course, I was denied and denied on appeal. I did speak to a lawyer who said that I could sue based on geographical discrimination since the state provides Kaiser insurance for those who live in Portland and Salem and they cover wls. I just need to get my paperwork together and then I'm going to sue our insurance bargaining board. Dina
