I'm finally a loser!
Hey everyoen I am back from the Hospital. I actually got back Tuesday but I have been healing and resting. Everything went great, no complication except that I got a torn muscle in my shoulder from the opperating room. I can't believe how quick I have healed, at 1 week post-op I was showering, going potty and getting up from my recliner all by myself. I thought it would take at least 2 weeks to feel this great. So far I have lost 17 lbs. I get my staples out on wed. so I will compare my weight loss with the one at my Doc's office. Take care everyone, and thank you to all how helped me through this!
OMG FELICIA!!!!!....II amso happy to read your post,I was worried about you. I was going to call your work. I emailed you last week and hadn't heard from you. Congrats....I am so happy everything went well. I will be 6 weeks apart from you. WOW...too funny! That's weird about the shoulder muscle??? I have heard that your back hurts from laying with out a pillow under knees, so I am hoping I can have one during surgery.
Anyhow, after all that talk we had I am having LAP-RNY July 19th.....well keep in touch, call me if you need anything....Loser...lol "just kidding"

Hey there Theresa,
I am able to keep all foods down so far, I have not vomitted once but I contribute that to the fact that I never vomit unless I am deathly ill. My incision is great too! I am having difficulty with my breathing though. My Dr. had me get some chest x-rays and a VQ scan to check for blood clots but everything is just fine, thank god! I'm not exactly sure how they were able to tear my shoulder muscle but somehow they did in the operating room. I'm happy to hear that you are doing good aside from the vomiting. Is it happening each time you eat or just occasional? By the way how much have you lost? To date I am down 40lbs. but some of this was water weight from all the IV fluids I had in the hospital. I am still struggling to get all my protein and water in, any suggestions?
Take Care, Felica...
