Hi, I am new to this site. I am going to an Information Session at the Good Sam Hospital in Portland tomorrow night. The session is with Dr. Hong. I had originally wanted to go with Dr. Patterson. I have heard wonderful things about Dr. Patterson, but not much about Dr. Hong. Does any one have any info on Dr. Hong? Also what type of questions should I be prepared to ask? Thanks for any information you can provide. Momof6 (from Eugene)

Hi all,I am having my surgery with Dr. Hong on June 1rst! Wheew! Only 4 more days! Some one else had asked about him, too, so we had disscussed this earlier this month, so you could actually go back to "view older posts" and read what we all discussed. But.............I now know a couple others who have had Hong besides me. Patterson has a huge waiting list, and that is why I chose Hong, but he's a nice guy, and I am fine with him. I will be the guenea pig.

I found the information session to be very useful. It was much more informative than another one I had attended. Dr. Hong did my surgery April 6. I really like him, and was very pleased with my surgery experience. As Joan said, look up earlier post on him. Patty

Sorry getting in here late. As you have already been to your meeting. Did you get to talk with Dr. Hong? He was going to be my Doctor as well, but I am going to wait to see Dr. Patterson. Nothing is wrong with Dr. Hong, very nice guy. I just had my mind set originally with Dr. Patterson, so as soon as my Insurance approves my surgery then I will switch over to Dr. Patterson. Joanie and Patty both have him and another lady to has had surgery by him, and no probelms. I was the girl who asked all the questions about Dr. Hong because I could not find many posts about him. But he is new and has only been here since Oct. 2003 and has done about 50 of each type of surgeries. Lap-RNY and Lap-Band that is. Hope that helps best of luck to you! Nadine
