Nancy David's Recovery

Nancy David had her surgery last Wednesday. She called me Thursday evening and was not doing well so I offered to go up and see here at OHSU. She went in for a Lap but had to have an Open due to leakage. She was having problems with pain maintenance and was pretty uncomfortable. She was also very concerned because she'd been told she might have a 2nd surgery on Friday. I'm am thankful that she thought comfortable enough with me, after meeting only once, to call me as a friend. I spoke to here today and she's doing much better. She did not have a 2nd surgery and she's glad she had the procedure and hopes to go home tomorrow. Well wishes from everyone upon her return home would be greatly appreciated from her, I'm sure. Michele - Thanks for updating us on her. I don't know everyone on the Oregon board as much as I'd like but I like to get updates one everyone at least. I will keep her in my prayers that things go well for her from here on out. I do hope they caught everything in time to keep things from getting worse. There is a man on our March board that got a leak and he had to go back to the hospital and has been in ICU for almost a month now. They are saying he is going to pull through but it has been such a rough experience. I think with him though they think they may not have gotten all the spots that were damaged from the leak, so he keeps coming up with more infections. If you're referring to Kurt....Nancy was just a couple of rooms down from him. She said he's doing much better, thankfully! I'll be sure to let you know how she is doing, I plan to give her a call at home tomorrow night. BTW Dina...how's the weather down in Medford? I'm originally from Grants Pass and have lots of relative in Meford/Rogue River. I'll be coming down in a month or so, maybe we can get together for a quick meet! Michele

Michele - Actually I was talking about someone on the March message board - his name is Rob. He is from Anacortes, WA. In fact, I need to go check up and see if any new news is out on him. As for the weather down here, it couldn't be nicer. It was 90 here in Medford yesterday...I think it was a record. It is supposed to only be in the 70's today. It's just gorgeous weather though. Can't wait until it's warm enough to go swimming! Let me know when you get in this area and maybe we'll have a mini-lunch or a cuppa coffee or something! Dina
