Meeting as usual from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., Market of Choice, 29th and Willamette, upstairs above the coffee bar, but this time it's on THURSDAY!!  Hope to see you there!

Thank you for hosting these meetings Linda.  I *might* go this Thursday, depending on what happens that day, we'll see.  It seems I'm living day by day lately :)  Just gotta take it one day at a time.  I miss seeing you guys...

I hope we see you tomorrow Becca!  As for hanging in there day by day, I understand that completely.  I'm off for a 3-level spinal fusion next week, so life has been interesting for me lately.  Basically eat, sleep, lie on the couch.  Oh - and go to work so I can sit all day and be in pain.   Oh well, I'll be looking forward to relaxing.  Please come if you can.  The meetings are pretty fun.

Any info on Newport support groups?

Hi,
 I had my WLS performed by Dr. Flanagan in Aug 1999. I nearly died during/following my surgery due to a massive pulmonary embolism and pneumothorax. Right now,I feel like a miserable failure, even though I've lost 200+ pounds. I'm still at almost 300 lbs. I've had two children that I never thought I'd be able to have, and they are my life. Now I am worrid I won't ever be able to be the kind of active mom they deserve. I'd love to make contact with someone regarding a support group, etc.

We will most likely be having our next group meeting in February.  I've been out after major back surgery.  In the meanwhile, PM me your email address, and I'll invite you to join the local group so you'll be sure to get an invite to the meeting!

I guess I am confused Linda, but then, I am easily confused these day!  Is the meeting this Thursday @ Market of Choice?  My message came thru as  a reminder of the meeting on 11/13?

No - no meeting this week!!  I think we'll aim for next month.  My recovery has been gruelling and I don't think I could sit in a chair for the meeting right now.
