Finally !!!!!!

I'm ok :)  Thanks for asking.  I have been lurking the OH boards here and there, but not participating. 

I have been suffering from depression the last few months, but things are getting better now.  I was just too isolated at home (being a housewife is boring, hehe) so I got a job at Starbucks part time, and that is helping, along with medication.

 A part time job at Starbucks sounds great.  It is important to have something to help stimulate us.  Good for you for realizing that you were depressed.  I suftered thru depression several years ago, and it definitely was no fun.  But thankfully, I was able to make it thru.

Don't know if you are interested, but there is a support group meeting at Market of Choice on Thursday.  We have been having pretty good attendance.  Might want to check it out if your schedule permits.

Wow, Brandon! Great job. I am soo excited for you. I just had another fill and hoping to hit that mark here soon. I miss seeing you all at the meetings. We moved in Aug to Silverton and abo****ley love iove it. However I am missing going to meetings and talking to others. I rarley post and should be better about checking the boards.

Thanks Kris.................I visited The Oregon Gardens during the summer and we stopped in Silverton for lunch.  A cute little  homey place on the river with a small outside dining area. The food was great.  Fell in love with the town. 

A funny story in Silverton. I have several tattos and was chatting with the waitress about our common bond.  We both had tattoes...she could have been my daughter.......so on our way out, she says to one of her coworkers...."  See Mari, it isn't too late to get a tattoo done.  That older woman just had one done"  Cracked me up, as I hadn't until that time considered myself old.  Definitely caught me off guard.

I believe there is a support group meeting in Salem, which isn't too far from Salem.  Perhaps you should check it out!

I think I know the place. People are funny. We fell in love with it too about 5 years ago. I lost my job after the surgery (BIG STORY) and took the summer off (paid of course) and this town kept coming up. So with my new self esteem and family in tow, we headed off to Silverton. It is amazing! We were SOO meant to live here. Sometimes I have to pinch myself!

I went in yesterday for my 3rd fill and I got a lecture!! Well deserved but I really need to be taking in more protein. Which I knew, just didnt. Bad, Bad Kris! So, I am hoping that with this fill it will help and I will try to add more protien into my diet.

What have you been doing, anything new to spark the new weightloss?

I hope the job loss wasn't because of the surgery.  :)

I have not been eating any differently, only less due to the last fill finally taking hold.  That is the only thing I can attribute the jumpstart in weight  loss.  But whatever the reason, I am pleased. 

I have an appointment the Tues before Turkey Day, and am at a loss if i want a small tweak or not.  I will have to discuss my situation with the Dr.  I haven't felt this type of restriction before.  Some days I can eat fine....other days I don't even know why I bother.  It is definitey a weird sensation. I just wish my head would get involved with the tummy.  Know what I mean?   Had one slight incident of a "really productive burp", but other than that nothing out of the ordinary.  Whatever is going on, I am pleased 

Good luck getting in more protein  Can definitely relate to that one!  It is just so hard, but easier than it would have been a year ago.
