Protein Shakes Please Help!
Hope someone can help me with this problem. I have been drinking the unjury protein shakes. I love the cholate and vanilla flavored ones. Anyway, I need to go to a more inexpensive protein shake drink. Ive tried three or four different protein shake drinks in the past before someone recommended the unjury. I love the unjury because it doesnt have a nasty aftertaste after you take a drink of it.
Is there a cheaper alternative protein drink out there that i can find in a store, that taste as good as the unjury? I would sure appreciate any suggestions from someone who has tried the unjury protein shakes and liked them. Thank you. KathyS
I bought a 2# tub of Nectar on sale at the Vitamin Shoppe on SW 4th/Taylor in downtown Portland. The store is like a library/resource center for vitamins and supplements. Other locations for this store are in Jantzen Beach in North Portland and Tanasbourne just off Hwy 26 (Sunset Hwy).
The store offers a money-back guarantee; if you don't like the drink, then take the entire unused portion of the tub back for a refund. The store also offers other brands and flavors on its shelves. Here is the link for its website: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com.
Hope this helps!

DS (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney. Cholecystectomy (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney 19 months post-op.
Has not weighed myself since 1/2010. Letting my clothes gauge my progress instead.
Thanks for the tip. I've thought about trying some shakes pre-op but some have suggested waiting until post-op because they might taste differently. There are just too many things to think about now that surgery is getting closer.
Question: Are the protein powders mixed with skim milk or water? I have some trouble digesting milk and am curious how my "new" stomache is going to react to the shakes. I'll be discussing it with the nutritionist at my last pre-op appointment.
