Introductions!

Hello I am 51 working f/t as a health care professional; married with three kids and 6 grandkids;  I live on the coast and have a date for RNY with Corvallis surgeon on September 9th; I have been lurking here some and more on the general board; lots of good information; also makes the anxiety and "scarey" feelings a little less overwhelming; thanks to everyone for sharing.

I am also 51, 1 child, no grandchildren (yet?). I was like you lurking in the shadows for a couple of months until I jumped in one day and started communicating. Boy, was that the best decision of my life, except for marrying a great guy. I will be undergoing surgery this Wednesday with Dr. Read in Corvallis, so I know exactly how you feel. You will really like Dr. Read and his program.
