Insurance runaround

I am now on the runaround with OHSU and Insurance.  OHSU says they have submitted for insurance approval, insurance companies says have not received any request.  Then found out OHSU did not submit on the 4th when we were told they did but submitted for approval on the 11.  I am not sure yet if they have or not.  I know as of today neither one of  my insurance companies have received a request for approval.  I am beginning to run out of patience and my husband is going back to sea to work on Sunday so he won't be here for any support.  Sounds like I am on a pity pot huh.  I hope not.  I am just ready for things to start going somewhere.  Any words of encouragement out there.  Thanks Linda

Keep your chin up, Linda.  Keep pestering the doctor's office and insurance company too.  If they get tired of hearing from you, they'll get their act together.  Unfortunately, sometimes you have to do that to get them in gear.  Advocate for yourself!  We'll be rooting for you!!

Thank you for your encouraging words.  I have been working at the insurance requirements for a year now and I am really ready to move forward.  I would really love to have this surgery sometime in June.  With the days passing it seems like that my not be possible.  I have sent an email of to OHSU asking for more information.  Hopefully I can learn more.  Just keep trying.  THanks Linda

Just a great update.  Got word this morning that Primary Insurance has approved the surgery (*^(**)^)(*&Yeah!!!!!!!! I emailed OHSU and let them know they need surgery date to send approval letters out.  Susan said she would get on it.  Yes.  I am so excited maybe surgery in June that would be great.  Love Linda
