I do like Jamie Lee an awful lot.  The pictures she did where she took the pictures side by side made up and "natural" a couple years ago were great.   Kathleen Turner has Rheumatoid Arthritis and used to drink that probably has some effect on her looks.  I just think it would exhausting to feel bad about something that's going on with us all that are human.  I get lots of tips, comments, criticisms from my teenage daughters that keep me lookin good?!?  You do look marvelous my girl!  Patty

Congrats on your big day...you really said it well, about the "nightmare of obesity and the glory of weight loss" being tucked way. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who as done this and is shocked by those old pictures....I'm just sooo thankful my babies never had to know me in that miserable state. You've done amazing and should be so proud... BIG HUGS, Deanna

Thanks Deanna.  You are so nice to know.  You are so LUCKY you have those year of fun ahead - you will not have to awful moment when rescuing you little precious child is required without delay and you are heading up the tubes of the bubble ball place at McDonalds without worrying about making the turn.  Really, the fun of water parks and swings and parades, all things that were hard before for me will be fun for you with your little cuties. Patty, you are such an inspiration to me! Thank you for posting your reflections on life at 4 years post-op. It is great to see how well you are doing, and how "normally" you live. Thanks for taking the time to let those of us who are earlier in our journeys know that everything can and will be OK!

It's a pleasure to cheer you on.  You are so early out, when I think a lot of us are so "this is probably not going to really work for me".  How could it when this problem has been in my life so long?!??  I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop when things started to seem to go well.  You are off to a good start - seems like you got out of the surgery days like most of us.  It's just going to be a great spring/summer for you.
