progress update

I called today to make sure the fax was successful-Yes H again. She said that the insurance approval letter did not have a necessary billing number on it. She said that she had left 2 messages and was waiting for a call back. I told her I would call and get it. I did and 5 minutes later (no phone messages necessary) had the number, call H back and gave it to her. Now The next step is slotted to take place tomorrow when I will be scheduled a tentative surgery date. Apparently I will be scheduled to see a surgeon 5 weeks prior to said scheduled date. the system is so much like the National Health Service in the UK it is scary. No customer service-They tell you if, when or how you will be allowed to see the doctor and get surgery. I would really prefer to meet the guy who is going to be cutting and banding me before I actually agree on a date to have him do it. So again the glass half full and empty all in one post!!

what type of surgery are you having?

Well thats the thing-i want lapband but I have not actually been told that it is suitable. I do know that I have been assigned Dr. Wolfe and I believe her does perform that kind of surgery.

Dr. Wolfe does it all.  He's a great surgeon.  I wish you the very best. Linda

Well, one step closer!  Did you hear from Ms. H today?  I think Vicki's post says she was "in a class" this afternoon.  I have speculated that they are sending her to finishing school! Linda
