Hi everyone,

Had a depressing week last week. I 'd only lost half of what everyone else is loosing in 2 months and sticking to the rules. I even increase my treadmill workout and watched my carbs and quess what, I gained one lb that week!!!!!! I was so upset. My friend in Ca. said go back to stage two for awhile and try that , so I did. Only 500 or under calories and liquids but it worked. I dropped the one I gained and 2 more but I'm sure hungry and have cravings (not good) but feel better that I got those off. Only thing is I can't continue it, I'm just to hungry and fighting myself to stay on just like the old days(before RNY). I also started taking the New-Whey protein tubes and their working alot better for me on getting the protein in. I just couldn't get the isopure down and can't do the milky ones (they don't agree with my pouch) so those help alot. Hope all of you are well. Carol

Hey, don't compare yourself to what everyone else around you is losing. That is not being far to yourself.  This is your weight loss journey, and I am sure all of us have different journeys for whatever the reason.  And maybe don't weigh yourself so often.   Glad you found a protein that works well for you! Hang in there, the weight will come off......and definitely, don't get discouraged.

Don't feel bad, I'm having similar problems.  My RNY was a revision from another WLS, and I know I am not losing the weight like most people.  It's very slow, and now at a complete stop.  I know it will start up again, but WHEN?  Just be patient, as I always tell myself.  I was always, in my opinion, different than everyone else prior to the RNY...dieting and exercising did nothing.  I'm now finding that it is getting harder and harder to lose this weight again, and I'm only 5 months out.   Hoping for that weight loss to begin again.  I know yours will start again.  I guess we just need to be patient.  Good luck and keep up the good work. Hi Carolee - I'm sorry you've been upset with your progress.  The gals are right, we all lose at different rates.  The stalls are awful too.  My last one hung around for about three weeks!  Do the best you can and it will come.  Good to hear from you! Linda

Hi Donna -yes, all went well.  I got to come home that same evening.  They released me at about 9:30 p.m.  I surgical pain is there, but most of my prior sciatica, etc., is gone or greatly diminished, so I'm thinking this was a great success.  I've been lying her reading quilting magazines and I may have to get my brother to set up my machine so I can sew while standing up.  I have the bug again!! Sheesh, Linda---sewing and standing up!!   I am so behind in my sewing.  I am sitting here trying to make some things that I need for tomorrow and my embroidery machine has a mind of its own.  I was working on bookmarks and the bobbin keeps messing up.  I think it needs to be cleaned out.  I got one out of the two bookmarks done so guess that's it for tonight.  Rest and get well.  Julia

Well, well, well.  It could be worse.  I only lost 20 pounds in my first year!  Definitely don't compare.  Personally, I was just thrilled to not have gained 100+ in the same time.  I have different issues than the rest of you so I've never been too disappointed at not losing, I'm just thrilled when I do. It'll happen.  Just don't starve yourself to get there. Lori
