Two week post revision update-crosspost

Hard to believe that two weeks ago today I had my revision surgery.  Yesterday the fog started to lift and I feel like I'm finally coming out of the effects of anesthesia.  I can sit here and type, focus somewhat, and read for short periods of time. I had my first post op appt. yesterday and things are looking good.  I haven't lost anymore weight, so that is good.  I've been on tube feeding 24/7, and am slowing increasing that volume, so I should hopefully start to see an increase in my weight.  My surgeon said I was TOTALLY depleted when he did my surgery. He was surprised I was able to remain upright. He said my lab numbers did not adequately indicate the severity of my situation. So it's a good thing I got this surgery when I did.  I do believe the rough time I've been having has to partly be because I'm so drained.  I go back again next week to get my staples out. It's nice to be coming into the land of the living again.  Even though I'm dealing with new things such as tube feeding, and strict food and medicine regimen, I feel some hope.  Still overwhelmed, but with a bit of hope.  Yippy! So, there's my update.  I hope everyone is enjoying this most merriest of seasons.

It is so nice to finally read some postives about you....and that you are definitely on your road to recovery and gaining weight.  Got to be wonderful news!
