Hi - Today is my 3 year anniversary. I lost 200lbs and still feel great. My problem is that I have not been to a support group since I moved to Portland and I am starting to find that I really need one. Are there any out there in Portland? It's a bariatric surgery support group, that is just the topic they are covering this month. It is sponsored by OHSU's Bariatric Surgery dept, but anyone is welcome. The phone number on the info I posted is from their clinic but anyone who's had or is thinking of having WLS is welcome. Usually their is sharing and swapping for the 1st hour and then they provide some sort of topic each month as well. Let me know if you need anything or directions or whatever. Take care! ~Tomi

Hi, I just thought I would let you know that Legacy Good Samaritan also has monthly bariatric support groups. They split the nights up between RNY and Lapband, but anyone is welcome to any group. They are free, open to public, and put on by the bariatric surgery dept. of Good Sam. I think the lap band group meets every 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm. For confirmation, you can call their department at 503-227-5050.
