Just curious what your opinions are...I started out about 375  August1 2th, was 346 by my surgery September 19th, now 295. I had a lap RNY. So 85lbs is gone without what I feel is a whole lot of effort (don't get me wrong, it's not easy, but I'm also not working super hard).  I am on a waitlist for an appointment with the surgeon. I talked to his nurse and she thinks I might have a stricture. I have a hard time getting food in  without throwing it up, but liquids or very soft foods are usually ok. Sometimes...lol My pouch seems really finicky. One day I can have some real food (2-5 bites) and the next cold water makes me barf. I've never been "easily queasy" until now. I'll just have to get stuff checked out.  Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Hi Tomi! I had a stricture that had to be dilated 4 times before it stayed open. My stoma had almost completely closed off. The indication that it was a stricture was when it became harder and harder to keep solids down, until finally I couldn't even keep down thick liquids like protein shakes. I never felt nauseated-things would get stuck and cause pain until I barfed them up. It was pretty awful, but if you do have a stricture, the good news is that it's a quick procedure to fix it and you will have immediate relief!
