BCBS $$$$ AND Nifrex Gold (Iron) upset tummy!!!

I have 2 questions-  1- I have BCBS as a secondary insurance (if you do to youll understand my question) I have Cordination of benefits (COB) bank-  my question is  A- HOW much did you pay for surgery with PEBB Benefits,  and  B- IF you had a COB did they pay your patient balance- OTHER QUESTION I am on nifrex gold - iron- making my tummy VERY upset to the point I am not taking it- any recomendations on a substitute over the counter Iron- THANK you!

My surgery was at OHSU and it was $33,000.  I have BCBS with PEBB and ended up paying $0 for the surgery, largely because I had maxed out my out-of-pocket expense on the sleep studies and testing up until surgery.  I don't have COB.  Don't know if that helps any. Linda

I have BCBS through PEBB also and they have a max per year of 1000.00.  I paid a little less than that because of other copays for this year but never more than 1000.00.   I couldn't afford to take the nifrex gold because it was 75.00 for my portion so i switched to the iron supplement that i found on bariatricwellness.com.  It is cheaper and the pills are smaller.  Much easier to take. On thhe Iron- www.vitalady.com has TenderIron-only place you can get it and it is great! My nutritionist  told me about it.....ships in 1 day from WA.

I really struggled with that prescription to,,  stuck it out and it got much better, I dont have any more trouble at all, at first I was really sick from it,,
