BCBS $$$$ AND Nifrex Gold (Iron) upset tummy!!!
I have 2 questions-
1-
I have BCBS as a secondary insurance (if you do to youll understand my question) I have Cordination of benefits (COB) bank-
my question is
A- HOW much did you pay for surgery with PEBB Benefits,
and
B-
IF you had a COB did they pay your patient balance-
OTHER QUESTION
I am on nifrex gold - iron- making my tummy VERY upset to the point I am not taking it- any recomendations on a substitute over the counter Iron- THANK you!
My surgery was at OHSU and it was $33,000. I have BCBS with PEBB and ended up paying $0 for the surgery, largely because I had maxed out my out-of-pocket expense on the sleep studies and testing up until surgery. I don't have COB. Don't know if that helps any.

I have BCBS through PEBB also and they have a max per year of 1000.00. I paid a little less than that because of other copays for this year but never more than 1000.00.
I couldn't afford to take the nifrex gold because it was 75.00 for my portion so i switched to the iron supplement that i found on bariatricwellness.com. It is cheaper and the pills are smaller. Much easier to take.
Hope this helps :-)
On thhe Iron- www.vitalady.com has TenderIron-only place you can get it and it is great! My nutritionist told me about it.....ships in 1 day from WA.
