Wow Michelle - that's a lot to ask of someone.  If anything happened to you, they would have blood on their hands.  Is it possible that you could stay over for at least one night to get the anesthesia out of your system? Linda

There is a cottage right across the street that is for patients who need a place to stay.  Ask your doc's office at Legacy about it - think the cost is pretty low.

I found this on the legacy website http://www.legacyhealth.org/body.cfm?id=1031 Green Gables may be the cottage the previous poster mentions. Good luck!

Hope I'm not too late - turned off the computer early last night. Green Gables Guest House is the name of it.  2183 NW Northrup St is the address. 503 -413 7848 or 503 413 7279 are phone numbers.  It costs $25 for a room w/2 twin beds, use of kitchen & bath. Hopefully they will have a vacancy.  I googled Green Gables Guest House Legacy and brought up the info. Good luck with your surgery - will keep you in my thoughts.  Be careful on the road!

That looks like a great option for those that don't live near Portland or have a driver available. It's good to know it is not just for cancer patients - I wasn't sure from the web site. Thanks grammabarb!
