Early wake up call tomorrow...

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am to check in at 5:30 am and surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am. 5:30 am...as in...in the morning. I don't do mornings. There is a reason I work nights. I figure I should get a break on the anesthesia bill since I will be mostly unconscious at that time of the morning anyway. Anyway, no, I really still don't feel nervous. I am more excited than anything. If all goes well, I hope to be posting here Saturday telling you all how great it went and that I am home recuperating. Will chat with you soon from the post-op side.....

Best wishes for an uncomplicated procedure and smooth recovery!  I wasn't nervous at all till that morning.  By the time the were wheeling me into the operating room, I wanted to bolt!  I'm glad I didn't though.  This has been one amazing ride.  We'll move over and make room for you on the losers' bench. I hope it is smooth sailing for you Friday.........am sure it will all go as planned, and look forward to seeing you progress to the loser side of life.  I will be joining you in about a month.  I can hardly wait.

Best of luck to you tomorrow.  I hope that everything goes extremely well.  I had to check in at 5:30am for my surgery too...I wasn't nervous cuz I was still mostly asleep and then when I was about to get nervous while they were wheeling me into the operating room, they gave me what the doctor called "jungle juice" and I don't remember much after that.

Gary- Good luck tomorrow!  I will keep a candle lit for you.   I was like Linda S.... was excited and not nervous until the morning of surgery, then I wanted to get the heck out of there when they put me in my gown and started getting the IV's in my hands, etc... heheh. We look forward to hearing from you Saturday! :)  You may be too tired to get online, though.  I slept more at home than I did in the hospital (they are always waking you there, and the roommate next to me never shut up).

It would be nice if you get a break on your anesthesia bill, but apparently no dice.  Nice try! Since you're a night person, you can take very short naps while waiting between pre-op procedures.  Hope you can stay awake when the surgery team meets you in the pre-op unit before you're wheeled down the hall to the OR. Best of luck on your safe and successful surgery and recovery!

Yeah! It is finally your turn!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and everyone is going to have to move over and make some more room on the loser's bench for you.
