Be sure to ask questions??????Where are my files now?????
It had been 3 weeks and I was still waiting for the surgeons call ,so I called Lagacy to see if my records had been sent to the surgeons office yet. Left a message to please call me with the information. Two days later called again, and was told they did not have the report from my cardiologist," whom I had given the lagacy fax # to at the time of my appt." So I called the cardiologists office and they said, oh we can not send Lagacy the fax, your persoal Dr. has to do that- DA. You would have thought they would have told me that when I asked them to please fax the results to Lagacy. So girls my records would have sat there for months if I hadn't called to check. I hope this helps others who are waiting.

Thanks for the tip. You need to remember to be proactive right now. If that means pestering people, then do it. There is, of course, a fine line. Once, for example, you know Legacy has all of your paperwork, I'd give it a week or two (maybe check in weekly to see where they're at because I know they're swamped with requests).
Good luck and hopefully this is the last piece of your puzzle.

I've had a lot of problems with paperwork being faxed, or just having it confirmed that it arrived after I was told that it was sent! I just had an endoscopy on Friday and, when I woke up, the doctor had left a duplicate copy of the report for me so I could fax it up there myself. I was sooooo glad!
