Finally the Century Club (with help from BR)
It's been a long time since I posted anything on the OH web site. It's been a busy month of May. I had my breast reduction on May 19th performed by Dr. Marcus Melvin. I'm still recovering. It's been 11 days since the surgery and I'm still pretty sore. After losing the 100 pounds, my breast still did not shrink to less than a 34DDD. What a bummer!! So I looked into having a breast reduction and the surgeon removed over a pound and a half from each breast. The size should be a C or B. I can really tell the difference with the 3 pounds removed off my chest. Finally the scale reads 148!! I guess the surgery helped the weight loss. So I am oficially in the Century club!! Only 13 pounds to my goal.

Hi Joy,
CONGRATULATIONS for reaching your goal weight!! I've seen you progress over the last year and I am truly so proud for you!! We are just about the same age. I'll be 58 this year and I've never felt better. As or loose skin - well, it's just a reminder of our weight loss - and that we must work to keep it off.
Keep up the great work!! You are GORGEOUS!!!

That's great Lara! I have wondered about if I could get reduction because I am still a DD, but I think it's more skin than tissue. It must feel great to have things up where they belong - I'm would think while they are reducing they also work on making them look really good too. Wow....Century club and near goal Congratulations!
Patty
Thanks Patty.
Today was my first PS visit since my 5/19 surgery. They took off the bandage strips and put on a bra - size 36D. The breasts are still sore and swollen somewhat, but they do look bunches better. My breasts finally match my frame.
I see the PS again in 3 months for follow-up. Meanwhile, I'll concentrate on losing the last 13 pounds. I think 10 of those 13 are located in the loose skin on my legs and arms. My PS does not recommend the thigh lift. I'll ask again at the next visit.
