Any groups near North Powder, OR?

Hi Y'all, I am new and have not had the WLS yet. I will have it done in California when I get it with Northern Calif. Kaiser. I was just wondering if anyone meets in the northeast corner of Oregon. Thanks.

Welcome, Deborah! I don't know about meetings in your area. I had my surgery in South San Francisco at Kaiser. Where are you having yours? Joy

Hi Joy, I haven't done anything yet. My Doctor said he would send me to Fremont, CA when I decided to do the WLS. It 's a long story. E-mail me if you want to know more. I don't want to get in to everything on the board...Deb.

Deb, I,m having my surgery at Good Sam. My Dr. is Dr. Hong. I would be glad to get together and talk .I will probably be coming home the day you are having surgery. E mail me and i will give you my phone number. I have tons of questions, thoughts, and worries . judy

There is a WLS group in Pendleton at St. Anthony Hospital but I am not sure when it is but I will get the Sunday East Orgonian and find out. I am going to also be having surgery by the same doctor that you are Judy but probably a couple of weeks after you. Sonya

Hi Sonya, I just had to go down to Port. for an EGD .Dr. Hong did it . Thats why it took me so long to read your post. Im glad to hear that you are having the same Dr. Also very interested in the support group in Pendelton. Deborah is going to see what she can put together in this area,but it could take a little while . My surgery is on the 13th -only 8 days away! yieks Im going down for my pre-op meeting and my admissions app. on Wed. I know there will be tons of questions after surgery. Judy

Judy, I am going to be seeing Dr. Hong on Wednesday, maybe we can get together for lunch or something on the road. I haven't found anything about the support group here but going to pick up the paper on the way home from work. Sonya, My app is at 3:00 but, we were going to go early and eat lunch at a pasta place on 23rd st. we thought about 1:00. It has really good salads. would you be interested in meeting somewhere around that time? Its right on the corner. I dont remember the name . I think pasta is in it(the name).we could vary the time some . Judy
