Dawn... you truly are an inspiration to all.... thank you for a great post!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! and I have had the pleasure of meeting Dawn... an awesome person!!
I agree with Diminishing Dawn... there's a person on a Hamilton facebook group "Hamilton Bariatric Surgery Support Group and she also is a member of this forum; and she started with an RNY, then Sleeve and is now waiting for a DS... so I'd think you'd be a great candidate for a revision. There are also other RNYer's that have taken saxenda..not all successful mind you after they stopped taking saxenda... but myself I've tried Weigh****chers and have been successful until covid. Not sure where you live but something to think about! Good luck!!!
What weight did you start at? What did you get to? Where are you?
have you thought of revision? If not I'd recommend if you have coverage seeing about a prescription for saxenda. I'd also consider weigh****chers. I found it helpful with regain.

I did everything right for two years then the challenges came. I experienced some hardships and became very depressed. My bipolar disorder had been well controlled but when a trauma happens, every healthy coping strategy can fall away. I was in hospital because I was suicidal. My doctors and I agreed that we had to stabilize my mental health and then focus on being a bariatric patient. Unfortunately, my father got ill, then worse, and worse, and he died on Christmas Eve last year.
at this point, I'm so upset with myself for undoing all of that hard work that I had done. I don't have a clue how to get back on track. Has anyone else been in a situation of heavy weight gain after surgery? If so, we're you able to turn things around?
Congratulations, Dawn! You've been so helpful with sharing your stories with others on this forum. I'm struggling wit regain. LW was 161. I'm at 196. I too have to refocus :(

Wow such an inspiration! Congrats on your 14 years You look amazing and I'm excited to meet you some day once this COVID is over.
Keep up the great work... the smiling suits you so much better!
14 years ago I had my roux en y surgery in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It was my first surgery besides my wisdom teeth removal so I was quite the nervous wreck. No big health problems so I worried that I was trading good for bad. My bmi at my highest was 51.
The GOOD - no medications, no big health issues, mobility is good, no worrying about fitting in backseats of cars or other tight spaces. One size does fit all.
This body moves well and these legs are strong and bring me many places although they crack like the Dickens when I bend. Lol. I'm hitting 50 years of age in a few months.
The BAD - osteopenia from wrong calcium (take citrate, please!) but once I switched to the right calcium I had no more further loss. Reactive hypoglycaemia kicks my butt on the odd, odd occasion but I've learned to manage it very well. Iron is perpetually low and needs refuelling.
The UGLY- the food issues (binge eater) continue to be my struggle. It takes perpetual work to dust myself off, pick myself off and get back on track but I do it....constantly. I was the chubby kid, overweight teen and obese adult. This "lifestyle" is not naturally imbedded in my brain. It's work to maintain it. And yes I've had regain. But I gain, freak out, cry on my scale and throw a little tantrum with my scale and I realize that to keep it off it's ALL ME and MY FOOD CHOICES and I'm going to have to be consistent to keep it off.
The SUCCESS can be attributed to staying in support groups, attending wls conferences, talking with other patients, seeking help when I need it from self help books, weigh****chers, mindful eating classes. Whatever I can find I will often try for a while and it helps me to repurpose and refocus.
No one said it would be easy. It isn't. Long term it's the hardest work you'll ever do. But it is definitely worth it.

Dr Micheal Kreidstein, Scarborough did my abdominalplasty 6yrs ago!! Awesome surgeon!! IMO!!!
Happy Thursday menu gang ;)
This has been a steady week - working normal days and then continuing on yardwork in the evenings. We were supposed to get rain but it has missed us over both lakes. Last night I found a bargain on some hibiscus trees so bought 2 of them and planted them in hopes we get a nice soaking tonight and again Saturday as forecast. We shall see! I didn't get out for my walk last night but had been doing about 50 minute to hour walks up until then.
Weight wise I'm down another 2 lbs so no complaints since we had a fathers day bbq at my place Sunday. I did kabobs, and salads so those were fine but I also had to taste my baked cheesecake with choc cookie base,, served with strawberries. I stuck to half a piece and enjoyed every bite.
B - protein shake
S - greek yogurt
L - Olymel shaved turkey, coleslaw with vinegar dressing
S - turkey pepperettes
D - taco in a bowl
S - beet crackers with roasted red pepper hummus
Lots of water - I've been hitting 3-4 L daily YAY
I had no sleep problems and did not have to take the test.
