That would be a question for your surgeon. I don't see why it would it's not like you'll be eating much after your surgery!! But it wouldn't hurt to check in with your medical team to see about any interactions between the freezing for dental work and anesthetic.
I would say you're doing just fine. Stalls happen. As long as you do what you're supposed (and by that I mean eat the proper things, meet your protein and fluid goals) you're doing fine. When before surgery did you ever think you would be able to lose 112 lbs in 9 mos?
Keep on going, you're still in the honeymoon phase!!
Good luck.
Highly unlikely without plastics. I've been working out for two years and still have bat wings and a small tummy roll. All the abs in the world aren't going to make the skin go away.
I started at 351 back in Mar when I had surgery and now I am down to 239lbs. Is 112 lbs in 9 months too slow? I have hit a lot of stalls.

I read on some websites that loose skin can still be tightened after weight loss. Is it true? Has anyone been able to workout and still tighten skin after loosing weight?

Good morning everyone!! I powered through 15 kms on the bike this morning in just shy of 40 mins. It was a feat as I hadn't been in a few days and my right knee is giving me a little grief lately.
Sadly I didn't win the trip last night. I did pick up a $50.00 GC for the restaurant that hosted the event so that will be nice to use in January to unwind.
2 years 8 mos
GF - 1 small banana, 10 gr PB
B - 2 eggs, scrambled, I dropped my cheese slice on the floor going across the hall and in that short time someone stepped on it.
S - yogurt, this too landed on the floor and burst open slightly, not sure how much is left in the container to salvage
L - chili
S - deli turkey
D - chicken cordon blue, maybe Caesar salad
I really should carry my lunch bag to the fridge instead of trying my balancing act. I have containers galore for my day usually and they often go tumbling.....I supposed I could also make two trips across the hall.
Have a great everyone!!
I did have anxiety, but I would come here and be reassured. And almost a year later, the best thing I could have done for myself and I feel fantastic. A few days of discomfort then you are home free. However, You May have problems if you don't plan. Stay away from forbidden foods that slide down easy. You will be fine.

A lot of emotions come to the surface the closer you get to surgery. I had a ton of them. The closer I got, the more emotional I became.
I was afraid, sad, worried and right up until surgery day, ready to pull the plug on the whole thing and then I had a talk with myself and realized that I was ready. I wanted to do this and that only good was on the "other side".
One day at a time.

Good morning :)
We are up early but will be going back to sleep. Today I have another dentist appointment. I'm thinking I will also cook up a soup bone for the dogs today. We need to get our freezer cleaned out more and the dogs love having the broth and meat on their kibble. Oh spoiled pups.
QOTD: what is your favourite children's book? Generally I jump to anything by Shel Silverstein, especially Where the sidewalk ends. I'm also a moderate Harry Potter fan. I picked up a three pack of Robert Munsch books at Costco. I mentioned this to my friends who are Canadian but were raised in the states and they had never heard of him. I remember him coming to my school and reading his stories to us. That was only a couple years ago ;) lol.
Post-op three years and nine months.
Breakfast 1 - oatmeal bites
Breakfast 2 - Greek yogurt and blueberries
Snack - cheese stick and something else
Lunch - chicken and veg
Snack - melba and PB
Dinner - currently tbd -- need to dig something out of the freezer. I have a cabbage to use up so maybe something with that.
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Hi Congratulations on your surgery date. I am having surgery on January 16th and feeling the exact same way. My surgery is in Guelph, Ontario. I live 2 hours away from the hospital and that what gets me but otherwise they are a wonderful group. I go to a local bariactric support group that helps me and give emotional support. GOOD LUCK, You will be okay.
