Topic: RE: What are you eating/doing today -- Friday?

I think the times on here are wrong... I was up around 6:30am to feed the little nugget and I posted after that :)

I'm also looking for IP chicken recipes... I have two cooked chicken breasts from my MIL that need some spicing up.

Hello Marlene and welcome! This is a great site with so many helpful people.

I completed my orientation at Humber in November so we are not that far apart.

Good morning, I had one of the best nights sleep last night that I've had in a long time, so needless to say I didn't make it to the gym this morning. Maybe after work tonight.

Glad it's the weekend again, I want to do some meal prep so I don't have to think so much during the week.

S - greek yogurt with blueberries

L - cobb salad - lettuce, chicken, bacon, egg, cheese, ranch dressing

Good morning :)

Nothing planned for today but a potentially busy weekend coming up... Tomorrow we have a bank appointment and then are possibly (fingers crossed) going to look at a house for sale. We aren't looking to move, but a really great property popped up near DH's family's so we are going to look. This is somewhat terrifying because of what it would mean in terms of having to fix our house, sell it, move, etc. Ugh.

QOTD: could you live with your parents? This property could allow for my parents to setup some kind of in-law flat/suite. They would love to be closer to the little nugget and I would like them to not live 7+ hours away, but my backyard is very very close if you know what I mean lol.

Post-op three years and nine months.

Breakfast 1 - almonds

Breakfast 2 - protein bar

Snack - Greek yogurt and blueberries

Lunch - cabbage, bacon, and kolbassa (loving our new instant pot)

Snack - melba and PB

Dinner - tbd... Need to defrost something

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

I'm new here and have been reading the board for a while so I thought I would register and introduce myself. My name is Marlene and I'm 47 and I've already received a referral from my doctor about 4 years ago. Well I finally got through last year around June only to realize that I was put through the medical bariatric program and not the surgical program through Toronto Western Hospital. Anyway I went through the orientation and had already started my classes before meeting with the doctor. When meeting with Dr. Glazer in August he transferred me over to the surgical program . I had the surgical orientation back in October and now I'm just waiting for the next phase . I've done my blood work and met with Dr. Hagen who has explained everything to me and approved me for the RNY surgery I've also already done my sleep test so hopefully I'll be hearing something soon . I've been reading a lot of post and seeing how everyone's journey is going and I know that I'll get a lot of support from the site so just want to say thanks in advance.

Topic: OH Conference... any Canadian / Ontario folks thinking of attending?

I admit, I love conferences :) The energy is usually incredible, and a fun way to meet others with similar interests. I've been to a conference at the Anaheim confrence centre in the past, and it was amazing. I am kind of considering going...

Anyone else? :)

Topic: What are you eating/doing Thursday?

Good morning everyone. Well day 2 of back at the gym was a success. By that I mean I went. I only did 5 kms on the elliptical (I wanted the recumbent bike but that's a long story).

I couldn't get my scale working last night and now it would seem I am having problems with my iPhone. It isn't cooperating when I try to connect to the App Store. It's very frustrating because I'm not a techy by any means. I tried all kinds of hacks from the internet but no go. Will have to see if one of our IT guys can figure it out here at work today.

I took the plunge and had my hair cut short. Shocked my stylist when I told her to cut it off. I also went with a bold purpley/red color. I like it, for now. So much easier at the gym.
