I take:
Calcium w. D3 - 2 tabs, twice a day, away from caffeine
B12 - sublingual 1 tab every other day
Iron supplement
Zinc Citrate
Magnesium Citrate - as needed - I get bad leg cramps at night
Multi Vitamin - 1 tab every morning
Can you reach out to Humber River to find out what labs your doctor should be ordering - the list is pretty extensive. They should be done annually.
Hi
Not yet I'm waiting for my Dr to refer but I'm looking for recommendations
Hello, it's been a number of years sadly. Yup, I am one of those who kept it all off (lost 185lbs) and now through COVID..yes it's a bad excuse..have gained back 30 lbs.
Help. I have moved twice, have no idea where any of my binders from Humber River are and could use some help with the diet yes I know I should KNOW this...as well as the vitamin protocol. I have a new GP who doesn't understand or seem to know much about an RNY and what I need as well as what needs to get looked at in my blood work.
I am feeling absolutely terrible...I could use some help if anyone out there wouldn't mind?
Thanks in advance, Annette
thank you- will head to drugstore today to pick up some zinc! I have been using biotin and that has helped quite a bit!
The opportunity exists- i only do this board.. watch some on you tube -not on surgery...Not on fakebook nor insta pot..
Post a question, a live issue, a true report not a link.
Wake up! This is an Online forum. computers are in every household and many of those who come to this board, even infrequently are available
You have to do your research on what is available in your country.
Gaining information will help you regain control and CAN help with depression.
I suggest you begin with a totally truthful diet diary...to see where you are starting.. If you can write down yesterdays intake.
You have to begin where you are. No one can do this for you. You are worth the effort to begin the journey.
Other ideas:
tip do not drink any thing, or very tiny amounts with your main meal.
cut out all sugars, even artificial ones they make many people more hungry. Get on a good MVI,.. we have one that is in wally world marked "womens 50+", t is the best all around vitamin i have found..
consider intermittent fasting. you may need to approach it very slowly if you have blood sugar issues or PCOS.
Both my husband, who has not required WLS and i ( 25 years post op-an early surgery that is not done now.) are using this with success. go to you tube and put in search bar. "intermittent fasting".. to gain more information on how to begin and how to increase your ability...to fast for certain parts of the day...you control it, hours and days and do not have to do it daily for it to work.
Cut carbs to as close to 20-40/per day. as you can and increase your protein.
STOP the problem with nutrition. It commonly occurs as your zinc levels are depleted. use zinc lozenge, cold eze is a brand name, use one every other day til zinc gives an off taste to the berry flavored melts.
.. then about one time a week i will use a half to a whole lozenge.this is my maintanence method..
If/When it develops off taste remove the lozenge and save it for next week. This is a sign your level is up. you will see a difference within 10 days.(post op 25 years)
I'm here, and I feel your problem. Not too long ago, I was diagnosed with baldness, but I'm already in active therapy at https://maps.app.goo.gl/pB4jNPywKLTVhSrJ9. It helps me cope physically and mentally with this situation. I am more than confident that you can take advantage of this ASAP and cure this problem. I can already see progress, and the hair is reappearing in the right places. I have had this treatment for several weeks now, and I am very happy with the results. You can see the same on your head. Keep fighting!
