WLS for dummies

Just got confirmation of my order being shipped. I don't know why i'm so excited about getting this book, but wow can't wait....

Dannette, Just curious if the books focus is RNY or all of the major WLS types? David

hey David the book talks about the other surgeries to I was interested in the RNY so now I know the differances.its a good book for post ops as well Dannette

Got my copy today and all i can say is wow, so much i never knew. Anyone thinking about this surgery would really enjoy this book. Debbie

Hey debbie reading this book so strenghened my commitment of having the surgery how are you enjoying it? I just hope the 18th of march comes quick thats when I have my sleep apnea test and I have letters comming from my orthopedic surgeon and another surgeon wrote on my behalf stating that it is a good choice i have taken to want to have this surgery and that i should be approved. Hi Dannette: I have to agree that it is a great book. It has also strengthened my decision to have WLS too. I am pre-op also and it has given me so much info. Debbie H

Hi Dannette: I got mine through the internet too; excellent decision if I may say so myself! I am getting surgery with Dr Starr in Toronto. I had my consultation in November and see the internist, dietician and social worker on March 9th. I don't have a date yet but am hoping I get one after I see the three amigos! (I mean internist, dietician and social worker!) Do you have a surgeon picked out yet? I seem to remember that you are planning on having your surgery in the states; is that correct?
