Did you call the clinic for appointments?

So my orientation was January 29th. I'm part of the online support groups for WLS in Ontario and Humber River specifically. I've asked around and I can't find a single person who had a December or January orientation who's gotten an appointment yet.

That being said, it seems that the general consensus for Humber is it takes about 3 months to hear back for appointments.

Even though it's only been two months, would you call the clinic and ask about appointments? (Although I'm pretty sure they will just blow me off when they hear my orientation was end of January).

If so, how often would you call at this point? Once a week? Once every two weeks?

I'm trying to be very proactive as I don't want to fall in between the cracks and get left behind.

Recently, I've seen many people with November orientations still waiting for appointments and then they called and got theirs scheduled right away and I don't want that to happen to me.

During my orientation in Windsor Ontario, normally they would just give you your appointments right after the orientation.I guess each location is different, but it doesn't hurt calling them.

When I completed the orientation at Humber, I asked how long it would be until we heard back & was told 12 weeks -- if we hadn't heard by then to phone; I phoned at 12 weeks & was given my appointment information over the phone, followed by information in the mail; can't hurt to reach out to them

I was at Humber and I called, called, called. No shame. Don't care bout judgment. It's my life and my body and I did what I had to. Between orientation and surgery was less than a year. Keep calling. Some people are nicer than others.

Thank you! I called two weeks ago and was told I should be called last week. No call. So I called again at the end of last week and the rude woman didn't look up my file, just basically said I will get a call when I get a call.

I think I'm going to call again this afternoon! I should hear any time now!

My Humber orientation was Nov 9th and I got a call with my appointments Feb 9th -exactly 3 months later.

I got all 3 trio appointments within Feb because I was willing to split them up.

Dr. Glazer sent me for a sleep study and I have found out that I needed a machine.

Surgery scheduled for June 17 th!!

If I were you, I would wait the 12 weeks - call if you don't hear anything by then.
