Winter Activities!!!

Hey All....

I don't know about you, but I love being outdoors! Spring, summer and fall, I hike 3-5 times a week, climb Blue Mountain, swim, jog, etc and walk! I am sooooo active and love it so much! Then...winter comes....

As soon as the snow flies, activity for me changes for the winter months. This year I bought skates and snow shoes to help keep moving outside and try to embrace the (dreaded) winter months....it doesn't help that since my 225lb weight loss, I am now ALWAYS cold in the winter. I even joined the local gym this year, but cancelled my membership already....argh!

What do you do when seasons change? What keeps you going through the winter?

Thanks All!

I go to the gym almost daily on weekdays. It's how I start my day and just think about it like its part of my job. On weekends I might go to the gym or just try to get out with the dogs.

Summer weather I'm outside playing ball, swimming, walking the dogs, camping, hiking, but I also maintain my daily gym routine. I have been pretty faithful to the gym for two years now. Once it becomes your habit, you do miss it when you choose not to go.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

I bought new skates this year and I'm having a blast! I also hike with my dogs. Cold or not. I only cut back if it's too cold for the dogs.

I'm sorry to say I cuddle up in front of the fireplace and patiently wait for spring, or vacation then spring. I do the treadmill (which is so boring) but that's it. 6 weeks until vacation yay, can't wait to walk the beach this year. My last vacation I had to be wheeled in a wheelchair through the airport.
