Tomorrow is the day!
There is no way I would have been able to drive a few days after my surgery. I would say take the cab or an Uber.
Good luck tomorrow.

You won't be able to drive yourself home and you can't be lifting stuff. In addition to being uncomfortable, you will be on pain meds. You just can't get behind the wheel in that condition. Whether it be a cab or some other accommodation you shouldn't even think about driving.
Can you not get a friend or family member to drop off and pick up?
Will you have someone staying with you for a few days when you get home or checking in on you?
I was nervous up until I got to the hospital and then I relaxed believe it or not. I was ready. I wanted to do this.
Best decision I ever made.
Good Luck and let us know how you do.
