Chef Jay's Tri-o-plex bars are my absolute favourite at 30 g of protein bar, but they are high in calories. 460 per bar. My favourite is the peanut butter chocolate chip, which is DECLICIOUS!!!

And the Snickers one is good too as mentioned above.

I've had the Premier Protein Bars and they're pretty good. Quite dense.

I've also used the Atkins protein bars. There's a Peanut Fudge one that I quite like.

I used to eat the Kirkland ones prior to surgery but I really dislike the consistency of them now and they are hard to chew down. They were my go to pre surgery but not now.

I try not to eat them too often but I keep a box at work and some in the glove box just in case I get caught up and can't eat when I should.

At our one month nutrition class, the TWH suggested that any protein bar we have be at least 14g of protein, and 200 calories or under.

I like the Simply Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter. Pure Protein bars are good in a pinch too - high in protein.

I bought one Quest chocolate chip cookie dough bar and couldnt choke it down . It's really trial and error to find what you like.

I haven't tried too many but I do have Pure protein bars and enjoy a couple different ones. They seem to have the lowest carb count and not bad calories. If I have one it just really cuts down on any other carbs for the day. It pretty much uses up my allotment :(

Hello,

I just tried NuGo Slim Bar last night. It was pretty good. Here are some guidelines bariatric patients should follow when choosing protein bars: low sugar, low fat, high protein, no maltitol, low carb. I believe this bar has all of the above. I bought it at Fortinos in the organic section. I had the dark chocolate raspberry. At first I smelled it and didn't think it would taste that good but it was nice.
