I found Opti to be very sweet, so I added decaf coffee crystals to cut the sweetness. Also I would add lots of ice and blend it. You can also add less water and make it more of a pudding. The vanilla I really did not like. It's only 2 weeks and you will get through it. You've got this.

I'm on my last day of Optifast- Surgery tomorrow- I found when i was more hungry if i blended it with ice it felt more substantial. Usually i just shook it up in a blender cup with the wire ball and some ice and drink it relatively quickly. i didn't like decaf in it but i don't like coffee. I drank about 1 litre of water and 1 cup of broth also a day.
Referred 09/19/2017, Surgery 09/26/2018! SW 246.6 M1-
I added peppermint extract to mine and also pumpkin pie spice to the vanilla.
I was at Winner's today and they have Pumpkin Pie Skinny Syrup. I might give that a whirl if you like that kind of thing.
Unfortunately for me, I had some stomach upset while on Opti. I found the peppermint helped to settle my stomach.
I didn't really get hungry, in fact I didn't get 4 shakes in a day. I had Opti left over by the end of it.
Make sure it's really cold. I didn't mind the chocolate. I found the vanilla a bit of a chore.
TBH, the 2 days of clear liquids was much harder. I did get hungry on the clear liquids. I drank tons of water. I just kept drinking.
Good Luck!

I put it in with cold water and lots of ice and I drank it with a straw. I was surprisingly very thirsty so I drank water- a lot. It was very very hard. The hunger was unbearable at times. Not to scare you, but I know some people who did great and didn't cheat at all. I did succumb and cheated. I remember driving into my surgery on the morning of and just being STARVED. You can do this though. You got this.
Opti is not fun but you can do it. I added coco powder and ice. It helped the taste and made it bearable. Hunger goes away after a few days. Good luck!

I played with all kinds of additional flavourings, but to be honest, I didn't mind the optifast at all, I admit I am a weirdo who liked the drinks.
I'd mix it with less water if I wanted something thick, some people even made it pudding-consistancy.
Loved it with ice, blended, or just plain.
I'd use various extracts or those Sugar Free Torani Syrup that you'd get in a coffee store.
Some combos I liked:
Chocolate Mix, I'd add peppermint extract, black cherry sf Torani, caramel sf Torani
Vanilla Mix, I'dd add lemon extract (SO nice!), strawberry SF Torani, pumpkin sf Torani
Embrace it :)
