Surgeon Appointment coming up

Hello everyone. I'm new here and have my surgeon appointment coming up. Has anyone had Dr. Allan Okrainec at Toronto Western for their procedure? Just want to get an idea of how much longer the wait is after? How your surgeries went? Any complications? And of course any tips and suggestions. I thank you all in advance. ??

I haven't had my procedure yet but I am in a support group that has a few TWH-ers. They have told me Okrainec is really good and right now it looks like they are booking surgeries for Nov/Dec.

Congrats on getting the surgery date! Curious - do you know when your file went to rounds? Mine did a few weeks ago and I'm waiting for next steps.

From what I understand from my last appt - the wait between surgery appt to surgery of course varies, but she suggested it was 2-3 months, so maybe yours will be in February?

oh I should also say that I was told that surgeries are currently being booked for Jan/Feb - I was told this at the end of August.

It looks like we are around the same timeline. I was referred in September 2017. My orientation was in November. I've seen dietician,social worker, nurse practitioner and the psych evaluation was in June, nutritionist in July. Have one last one by phone coming up next week to follow up on my sleep study and then the surgeon in December. Maybe we end up having our procedure done around the same time!
