What are you eating/doing this Friday?

Welcome to your weekend lovely peeps. Ended up having a girl's night out last night and now this girl is tired. Going out again tonight with friends, so there may be a brief nap so that I can stay up without yawning and showing my age, lol.

This morning I am making an executive call and only going to the gym.

Accountability: Well I never had my scrambled eggs and cheese last night. I ended up getting roasted wings with peri peri sauce.

Question of the Day: Are you a mall person or a shopping online person? I would much rather shop online than go to the mall. Most malls in my area just seem sad with a lot of empty stores. If they want to get more customers in the malls they need to make it entertaining. Maybe roving packs of puppies. Baby races. Bumper cars. Add some danger into the mix, lol. Free good coffee at every checkout.

The eats today at 4 years post-op are:

B. Rivers of decaf

L. Leftover wings

D. Some kind of salad with protein at the restaurant. As soon as it turns cold, I switch from salad to soup. I had better dust off the old crockpot.

All water and vitamins.

Have a great weekend everyone and make some memories for your old age.

Have a great weekend CC. We are off to see Ron White tomorrow in Casino Rama and then heading to a cottage for a week Sunday. My packing list is two pages long! Pretty much taking the entire kitchen. Will be fun. Hopefully weather is nice as we plan on fishing and golfing.

I love shopping online, unless it's for clothes. I feel like for clothes you need to try it. I'm even considering ordering my groceries online from walmart now!

-----
I'm pre-surgery:

B: oatmeal w/ soy milk, chia seeds, and berries. I'm also eating banana. Considering getting a warm beverage from Tim Hortons.

L: Forgot my lunch today so buying lunch today. No idea what to get. What is under 600 calories, but also filling? Craving A&W burgers .... but should have something nutritious

S: carrots, cucumber, tomatoes w/ hummus (forgot my egg)

D: Plan on make tofu stirfry. Just tofu, some frozen asian veggies + stirfry sauce. If I can get frozen cauliflower shreds on my way home, I might add that to use instead of rice.

Side note: I was way under my water needs yesterday and skin felt sooooo dry at the end of the day. I barely used to 1 Litre of water per day (I was fueled by Pepsi) and now my body has adapted feels weird when I don't drink my minimum 2 liters per day.

Just found out that my work has a corporate partnership with Goodlife Fitness. So I can get to sign up for a cheap amount and it's deducted off my pay. Next period to sign up is mid September, so I'm going to sign up then. I'm also going to start saving for a personal trainer. I used to be a gym rat and a runner, so I don't need a personal trainer now, but I think a personal trainer will definitely be a mental push when I'm 7-8 months post surgery and weight loss slows down.

Subway will make any sandwich into a salad bowl, you can ask for olive oil as dressing. Wendy's chili is not too bad.

That is great about the Goodlife membership. You will become a gym rat like Ginny and me, lol.

Ended up going to Subway (yay!) and then Starbucks (nay). I wish the Subway website had an nutritional calculator so I could create my meal instead of just adding each ingredient individually. At Starbucks I went caffeine free, but holy sugar ru****hought a refresher wouldn't be as sweet.

I would be careful with the Starbucks drinks. I ask for no base, no classic. My fav's are sugar free cinnamon dolce, or sugar free vanilla. Their website lists the stats on all of their drinks and food.

My go to is a Venti Decaf Americano with sugar free cinnamon dolce. I will add a little cream and some cinnamon powder (not the sprinkles they have, because those contain sugar). Sugar is something you want to avoid after surgery because of dumping syndrome.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't consume caffeine or decaf products. I only consume products that are naturally caffeine free. I think it just tasted super sweet 'cause I've changed my tastebuds. I'm naturally not a sweets person to being with (i prefer salty), but I've transitioning to a grain free life, I notice the taste of sugar even more. Even after that tea refresher my gluclose levels did not change and stayed between 4.0 and 7.0 which is my new normals
