7 years!!!
HI Everyone, It has been 7 glorious years since my RNY on Aug. 17,2011. I have maintain 150 lbs weight loss. My highest was 300 lbs.
I have my life back. My surgery was well intended to literally save my life. (stomach cancer).
What advice would I give to the newbies??? This surgery fixes your stomach not NOT your head. Therapy. I am still going. Always take your vitamins even if you don't feel like it. I still do. I have loss a very dear friend of mine because she thought she did not need her vitamins.
And the biggest thing I hear and see. Please STOP comparing your selves to others, everybody's journey is different.
And just live. Remember when you decided to have this surgery? I will do this .... once I lose this amount of weight....Well just do it. Stop living and get to live. What I mean is live, laugh, love.
Live your life to the fullest no matter what size you are. Laugh, there are way, way too much negativeness in this world, please just laugh. And last LOVE!! Love yourself. All your jigglies, all your fat, all your flaws. Cuz we are all and I mean all GORGEOUS no matter what we look like. Love, just love yourself.
As always, live, laugh, love and health.
Congrats! You inspire me! Thanks for the great advice.
