Anyone getting a surgery date lately?

I know that feeling well ... and it sucks.

I am also through Windsor. I did Surg Ed on June 18th. They told me that they would send my file four days later and I should get a call within two weeks.

After two weeks I called to follow up. They had just sent my file, so I should hear within two weeks. So, two weeks later I called to follow up again. She was waiting for the next block of appointments from Toronto, but didn't expect them until the first or second week of August.

July 24th I got a call, they had a cancellation and I was able to meet the surgeon the next day. My surgery is August 27th. I had my pre-op appointment yesterday and started OptiFast as well.

I'm thrilled to be moving forward again but those five weeks of waiting were brutal.

Good luck, try to be patient, and it doesn't hurt to follow up.

I too had my surgery ed class on june 18/18 .When I called abouy my file going to st mikes she did say I should hear before Sept.

Its been almost a year since my first orientation class. Back in Sept 2017.
