Anyone getting a surgery date lately?

New to message board as far as posting but I have been trolling the forums for about a year now, I am going though the process in Windsor and am now waiting to hear from a surgeon in Toronto. My file went to Toronto on July 24, I was wondering if anyone else was getting surgery dates? Waiting for my phone to ring is so stressful

I am going through Humber and haven't even gotten a call for the first set of appointments. We were told at orientation that summer is usually slower with dates as folk take vacation in the summer and they don't have as many hands on deck as in other months. This applies to all staff including the surgeons.

I am going to TWH and i got my Surgery date for October 30 2018, so I think that the wait is long!

Congrats on getting a surgery date. Curious - how long did it take for you to get a appt with the surgeon once you completed the other (sw,nurse, dietician, psych) appointments? I should be done mine for the end of this month - trying to figure out how long I should expect to wait after that for next steps.

Timelines vary so much between programs and even within programs.

My file went to rounds in mid-Jan and I met the surgeon June 1st. I think I got the call sometime in April. I believ my wait between rounds and meeting the surgeon was on the long side, most people wait about 2-3 months.

Then from June 1st to August 17th for surgery. However, I know of people who saw the surgeon after me and got a surgery date before mine. I've given up trying to make sense of it, what will be will be.

I agree, There no way to figure out how they pick these dates. its crazy I met with the surgeon July 20 and I got my appointment Oct 30. The lady sitting beside be got a date Aug 24th so meh...

to be completely honest it took a very long time for them to get back to me I went to rounds March 22 and I just had my surgeon appointment July 20th and surgery appointment is Oct 30 but I herd people have had shorter wait time for surgery wait time.
