Plastic Surgery

First off, I know there is a forum for plastic surgery but I wanted to throw this out here to get a Canadian perspective based on our healthcare system.

I've read nothing but horror stories about some of the procedures and I'd really like to get an true picture of how bad/not bad the procedures are in reality.

Are there any good/positive experiences? Were you disappointed? Were you prepared adequately. Are you happy? How long was your hospital stay? When were you able to get back to work? What procedure did you have?

I will be considering plastic surgery in a year or so and I'm trying to wrap my head around whether I'm mentally prepared for this or not. If it's all really a horror show then I might change my mind.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's experience. Hopefully there are some good ones. :)

I hope you get some replies because I'm interested in reading them, too. I want to get plastics eventually, and from my reading the recovery period is not for the faint of heart.

I have had all my body contouring done at USculpt in Vaughan. They specialise in WLS patients. I love the fact that they have their own clinic and 1:1 care. I have my share of post op healing issues but don't regret having surgery done. I feel that it completes my journey to the new me. I've done FDL TT, posterior lift, spiral and medial thigh lift, breast lift, breast augmentation, brachioplasty, oh and lipo and BBL. I am wearing my sports car. Feel free to PM me if I can answer any questions. Just make sure who ever you choose works with WLS patients as we heal very differently than a skinny person having a little nip and tuck.

I know I'm a while off for plastics (just 5m out but 98lb down with 60lb to go) but I can already tell I'll need a fair bit doing.

Ive heard lots of really good things about usculpt in Vaughn so I'll look into them further when it's time.

How long os recommended to wait before plastics? I'm losing pretty quickly so far and I'm hoping to be at goal for my 12m/1yr surgiversary and I don't know if it's a certain time period requirement before you should look into plastics.
